1 week update on 60 day challenge!

And just like that the first week of my challenge is officially done. During the first week I lost 2.4 pounds (woohoo.) I think my biggest challenge was trying to get things done on the weekends and waking up by 9am. Im sure a lot of you are probably thinking, 9 am is late but honestly for me, it’s not. As someone who struggle with sleeping and getting a good night rest, sleeping in is much needed. Having PCOS can cause sleep issues and I feel like the past 2 years, it has gotten a lot worse for sure. I can’t sleep earlier than midnight sometimes 1 or 2 am, and I wake up numerous time throughout the night. I have tried melatonin, etc and nothing helps, actually melatonin makes it so much more worse. I did order some melatonin free sleep gummies I am going to try out to see if it helps. Because honestly I would love to be a morning person, be one of those people that are up at 5 or 6 am and getting stuff done.

My other challenge was trying to get stuff done over the weekend, weekends are now the only time I really see and spend time with my husband and I didn’t want to put time off to do things. We did go on a walk at the beach on Saturday, and I did take my vitamins/supplements, did my “me time” even though it was later on in the day.

My water intake was shit if I’m being honest, I probably had maybe less than 20oz of water each day (I know I know its so bad) but I don’t know why its so hard for me to consume water a lot more.

I kept up with my steps in week one besides for Sunday. I joined a Step bet challenge, which is a challenge or challenges that you a join to meet your steps for the day. The one I am currently doing is 5 days, with 2 days of rest day for 6 weeks. You bet money and in the end the ones who won, split the money. For the most part, every time I have done these challenges, I usually always make at least $3 to $15 dollar profit. The trick is you have to meet your step goals everyday for those 5 days, if you miss more than 2 days, you are out.

One thing I need to get better with is drinking my greens and fat burner in the mornings. But I was on my game with taking my vitamins daily, along with doing my “me time” daily. I accomplished my weekly goals of exercising 4 times a week and meditating 3 times a week. I am excited to see how I do in week 2.

Here is my habits for week 1 (if you’re wondering I use this habit tracker:
