Can you believe its February 1st already? I feel like we just celebrated Christmas last week! Crazy how fast time is going by now. I wanted to share a few of my goals for the month of February; a lot of it I’m already doing with my 60 day challenge, however, I am changing a few things and adding some new goals. Even though I didn’t set goals for January, I just put my goals for the year, I feel like by setting monthly goals, it will be easier to accomplish them…only time will tell.
Goals:
- Drink more water – my goal last month was to drink 50 oz or more water a day. If I’m being honest, most day I only did 50. I hardly ever drank more than 60oz. This month I want to focus on drink half a gallon of water a day.
- Meditating – I had put my meditation as one of my goals during this 60 day challenge, however, I have been struggling with it. I have tried to do 5 minutes of meditation and I struggled if I’m being honest, I couldn’t concentrate on it. Some one told me to try doing it for 2 minutes and then slowly add on. That is what I will be trying this month, and hopefully I will get better at it.
- Increasing my steps – I had my step goal set to 6,000 steps for 5 times a week for January, and I reached them all and even did more. However, I would like to do at least one or two days a week of reaching 10,000 steps, and the rest of the 3 days reaching a minimum of 6,250 steps. My goal is to eventually do over 10,000 steps 5 days a week if not daily, but I know it will take time.
- Strength training – I think I only did strength training once or twice in January, I did a lot of walking, dancing, and riding my peloton bike. For February I want to do strength training at least 2 times a week.
- Reading – I struggled a lot in January to read, and if you know me, you know I love to read but for some reason, I have been having a hard time with it lately. I recently got “Girl, wash your face” on audiobook, and I forgot how much I like to listen to non-fiction books on audiobook. I am able to concentrate more and take more away from the book rather than actually reading it. However, when it comes to romance books, I prefer to read them rather than listen to them. Today alone, I probably listened to over an hour of Rachel’s book while driving around.
- Journaling – I have been on my game writing in my gratitude journal; however, I would love to just start journaling my thoughts at least twice a week.
- Blogging – spending more time on my blog and podcast. I didn’t set a goal of how many blog posts I wanted to put up a week or for my podcast for the month of January. I think I want to focus on uploading maybe two blog posts a week and one to two podcast episodes a week.
- Intermittent fasting – I use to do intermittent fasting a while ago, but always did around 14 hours and I felt good. I have been so lazy about it and I want to start fasting again, even if its 12 hours. I don’t think I’ll start fasting everyday, but I would like to fast at least 3 to 4 times a week this month.
- Weight loss – I desperately want to write down my goal of how many pounds I would love to lose this month, but knowing my body and having PCOS, it is so hard and I alway send up disappointed. I will be happy with how much ever I lose – as long as I lose and dont gain. But it has been so much more harder right now to lose because I am officially on day 138 of no period…ugh! I am so frustrated with my body. Usually I like to weigh myself first of the month, but I completely forgot that today was the first. I will however, weigh myself tomorrow morning.
- Vitamins/supplements – I have been on my game with taking my vitamins and supplements and I just want to make sure I keep taking them.
- Being consistent – I alway struggle with this. Usually anytime I start something, I don’t stick to it, I end up giving up, I think this will be my main goal every single month because I want to get in the habit of being more consistent with taking care of myself emotionally, mentally and physically.
Do you have goals for this month?

That is a lot of goals Suzie! Good for you to take on so much. I do need to drink more water but I have to be close by a washroom all the time to do it! Good luck with achieving your goals in February.
