Re-Establishing Habits in 5.5 weeks!

In March, I had decided that I was going to start a 30 day challenge for the month of April, but then never ended up going through with it, mainly because well I got lazy. So I decided to just continue on with my habits and to do a challenge for May. Well life had a mind of its own and decided to knock me down for 2 weeks. I got SO sick, with the worst double ear and throat infection ever. I went on antibiotics, it did not help but of course I finished them because well its antibiotics and I had too. I tried every home remedy to get rid of this illness. I ate raw garlic, I ate garlic with honey, I chugged ginger shots, I drank a ton of water and tea with honey and lemon. Nothing seemed to be helping. I missed a whole week in a half of work…I was miserable. I also barely slept. You would think I would sleep all day and night with how sick I was…nope! I was up all night with so much pain and during the day I couldn’t lay down without having a coughing attack. Speaking of coughing attack…I managed to pull a muscle on my lower back during one of my coughing attacks in the middle of the night and couldn’t walk for two days….yup that was fun! But after 12 days of non stop coughing, running out of breath every few minutes, throwing up from coughing, body aches from coughing, stuffy nose, ears that hurt so bad, painful throat, not being able to eat or swallow, I finally feel better. I still have a little bit of a sore throat, cough and slight pain in my ears but this is nothing compared to what I was feeling. I cannot tell you how grateful I am right now for being able to just breathe like a normal person. I think by far that was the scariest part of it all, the fact that I kept fighting for breath…it was awful!

Every habit I had worked on creating this year, went out the door. I stopped taking all my supplements, I stopped reading my Bible daily, I stopped writing in my gratitude journal, I didn’t work out at all, I didn’t read a single page of a book, I drank coffee on an empty stomach, eating very little – yet gained weight…ugh! Pretty much I didn’t do shit except take the antibiotics which I had to do.

Starting today Monday April 24th till Wednesday May 31st (about 5.5 weeks) I’m going to focus on re-establishing good habits into my life! Here is what I will be doing:

  • Starting my morning with my fat burner and greens.
  • Eating something before I have my cup or two of coffee.
  • Taking my supplements every single day.
  • Writing in my gratitude journal.
  • Reading a chapter in the Bible/devotionals.
  • Spending a few minutes in the morning outside getting some sun if possible.
  • Intermittent fasting for 12 to 14 hours.
  • Drinking more water!
  • Limiting soda to maybe once or twice a week the most!
  • Exercising 4 to 6 times a week.
