Weight Loss and Infertility!

March 3, 2021

January 1st, I started 75 hard again for the 3rd time and sadly failed again! I had told myself that I would try it three times before I fully gave up on the program and well I did, I tried it three times and failed all three times! Now part of me wants to try again but part of me says no its too much with literally no days off! The hardest part for me was the doing two workout a day for 75 days straight, along with the water intake too!

I took a few weeks off of working out and decided that it is time to get back to working out again! So I am back on it starting today and will be doing these at least 5 to 7 times a week! If I can do it everyday great, if I notice that I need a day off then I will give my body a day off! I just don’t want to give myself to many days off because I literally lose the motivation and it makes it 1000 times harder to start up again! And honestly I am so tired of starting up again or losing the motivation and gaining weight. I along with so many other ladies who have hormone issues, who have PCOS know just how hard it can be for us and I honestly fuckin HATE it! I hate the fact that it makes it so much more harder for us to lose the weight but gain 3 pounds just by thinking about a donut…sad but true! Life isn’t fair, it isn’t fair that its harder for us, it isn’t fair that I have to struggle getting pregnant, it isn’t fair that I have been off birth control for over 2 – 3 years now and have not had a pregnancy test come back negative! I want a baby so bad and I hate my body for not allowing me to become a mom! Sometimes the anger and sadness I feel literally breaks me down so badly, I honestly believe I have depression because of this! I hate being so rough to myself, being so negative towards myself and hating myself and my body most of the time.

I want to change how I feel about myself… I NEED to change how I feel about myself! Because in the end no one can change it but me. If I don’t love myself, if I don’t work on myself, if I don’t motivate myself…who will???

I am doing this for me and for my future babies! I cant imagine myself never being a mom to a baby…I just cant, it breaks my heart! I have to change… I need to change… I have to take the steps to change!

After Shower Hair Care!

March 1, 2021

I believe that your after shower hair care routine is so important! It’s funny well not funny but I never really took care of my hair after I showered like I was suppose to up until a few years ago. Now I make sure that I use the right products for my hair always!

After I get out of the shower, I will use Monat’s unknot detangled, which is a lightweight detangled that conditions and restores hair, leaving strands soft and knot-free. It also provides frizz control and helps to reduces static. I spray it all over my hair and brush out my hair using the wet brush…make sure to always brush from your ends and work your way up!

After that I will get 2 pumps of our rejuvabeads cream which is our split end mender and it does exactly that, it targets and heals spring ends, leaving your hair stronger, more flexible, manageable and resilient! I will rub my hands together then apply the products to my ends only and leave it on for a minute before applying anything else!

After a minute I will apply our restore leave- in conditioner which helps tame frizz and flyaways! Now there are two ways I usually style my hair and depending on how I feel that day I will use one of two products. If I want to blow dry my hair than I will use a small amount of our Blow Out Cream which literally cuts my hair drying time in half, provides a low-medium heat protectant, and leaves my hair feeling silky and smooth. Now if I want to use a hair straighter, I will also apply one or two pumps of our Thermal Protect Styling Shield along with our blow out cream prior to blow drying. the Thermal protect styling shield is meant for high-heat protection.

If I want to leave my hair to air dry, I will apply our Air dry cream which is a light, airy leave-in cream for heat-free, effortless styling; it also promotes shine and helps tame frizz. It leaves your hair so soft and silky. I will follow up with either braiding my hair, or twisting my hair and letting it air dry and it looks so good!

I only wash my hair twice a week so in between usually after day 2, I will use our Conditioning Dry shampoo which absorbs oil, dirt, impurities between washes and refreshes hair!

This is what my hair looks like using the blow out cream and blow drying my hair using my Revlon Salon one – step hair dryer!
This is what my hair looks like using the air dry cream and putting my hair in braids, and I will just blow dry my side bangs.

What I use to wash my hair!

February 24, 2021

Growing up I have always had very oily hair and I hated it. I had to wash my hair every other day or else it just looked so disgusting. I have had different types of shampoos and conditioners to try and clean my hair so good to the point where I can go at least 3 days without washing my hair. Well my friend started working for a company and asked me to join along and I was hesitant at first so it took me a few weeks to decide but boy am I so glad I signed up to try these products along with selling the products. When I tell you these are the only hair products that have saved me…I am not kidding. I am not saying this because I sell the products too. I am saying this because it has truly changed my hair game for me. I now wash my hair only TWICE a week….BIG change for me and I absolutely love it! My hair has never felt so clean and so healthy. Here is what I use to wash my hair:

Shampoo:

I wash my hair twice a week mostly on Tuesdays and Fridays.

For Tuesdays wash:

Once a week I like to use our scalp purifying scrub which is a 2-in-1 scrub and shampoo that helps dissolve dead skin cells, stubborn product buildup and environmental pollutants. It literally deeply cleanses, purifies and soothes while leaving my hair strands feeling so fresh and clean! I sometimes just use this to wash my hair then will use a mask and conditioner or sometimes I will do a second wash, using our Purifying Vinegar Shampoo which is a gentle shampoo with apple cider vinegar and potent AHAs, it deeps cleans, purifies and rebalances while soothing sensitive, dry, patchy, oily scalps. I let this sit in my hair for 2 minutes then rinse it off. The scalp scrub can only be used once a week!

For Fridays wash:

For my first and second wash, I use the Monat renew shampoo which helps increase hair brilliance, strength and vitality. The first wash will not lather up and that is completely normal, the 2nd wash will lather up. I leave the shampoo in my hair for about 2 to 3 minutes then rinse and repeat same thing for my second wash. Now if on Tuesday I only used the scalp scrub only then I will use the Purifying Vinegar Shampoo as my first or 2nd wash along with the renew shampoo.

Hair Mask:

Because I only wash my hair twice a week, I will do a hair mask twice a week as well. Right now I am using our Super Moisture Masque which provides nourishing moisture replenishment to restore dry, dull, brittle hair to its soft, silky condition. I leave this in my hair for 5 minutes while I finish up showering then will rinse it off and follow up with a conditioner.

When I first started using these products, I used the Monat Hair transformation masque which is an intensive, ultra-rich reparative hair masque penetrates deep to fix breakage, strengthen, soften and transform the look of damaged, brittle, over-processed hair within minutes. This mask seriously did what it says it does…it has transformed my hair so much!

Conditioner:

After my hair mask, I use our Smoothin deep conditioner which nourishes, controls frizz and adds brilliant shine. I leave this in my hair again for 5 minutes then rinse it off. However, if I am running short on time, I will use our Advanced hydrating conditioner which does not need to stay in your hair for any amount of time, unless you want that extra hydration, then you can leave it in your hair for about one to two minutes.

It does take me a bit longer now to wash my hair; however, I have seen such amazing results with these products and it has cut down on my weekly hair wash time so I really don’t mind.

Goals for February!

February 2, 2021

Instead of setting new year goals this year, I had decided that I was going to do monthly goals instead to really stick to them and well I completed and failed my January goals. Lets go over them:

  • 75 hard – I completed 28 full days of 75 hard and failed on day 29!
  • Upload at least 8 blog post – well that did not happen – I ended up switching hosts and the transferring took a while and I decided to redo my whole blog.
  • Open an Etsy shop – negative that never happened either.
  • Spend less money – that actually I think I did good on. I spent some but not too much which is a win.

For the month of February my goals are:

  • Lose 5 to 8 pounds.
  • Upload at least 5 blog posts.
  • Be more active with my Monat business!
  • Drink a gallon of water daily!
  • Be more positive!
  • Read at least one book.

Failed 75 Hard AGAIN!

January 31, 2021

Yesterday was day 29 for me on the 75 hard challenge and I Failed for the 3rd time! When I first started this challenge last August, I told myself that I would try this challenge and if I failed to try again at least 3 times before fully giving up on it. Well this was my 3rd and finally attempted and I failed and that is ok! I at least tried it and gave it my best. Like Andy said this challenge isn’t for everyone, not everyone is going to complete the challenge when they start. But I am proud of myself for completing 28 fully days of it and losing 6.4 lbs in the process of it. I do like the challenge but the two workouts were by far the most challenging for me and made me kinda dread my 2nd workout and not put as much effort into it. So going forward, I plan on doing at least an hour of work out a day, but giving myself a rest day or two the most. I also plan on drinking a gallon of water still, watching what I eat, taking progress photo once a week though and reading. I read two full books this month and started a 3rd and I want to keep going on that. I want to read at least one to two books every month!

Day 1 & 2 of 75 Hard!

January 3, 2021

January 1st was my first day of doing 75 hard. I have tried doing 75 hard twice before and failed both times around day 16! I am hoping to complete the program fully this time around. If you don’t know the rules, here they are:

  1. Follow a diet – any diet of your choice! NO CHEATING AND NO ALCOHOL!
  2. Drink a gallon of water a day!
  3. Two minimum 45 minute of workouts a day – one has to be outdoor and they have to be at least 3 hours apart from each other!
  4. Take a progress photo every single day!
  5. Read 10 pages of non fiction or self development book – audio books do not count!
  6. If you skip or fail to follow any of the rules you have to start from day 1 all over again!

I haven’t worked out in such along time so it has been a painful getting back into it. I am starting off doing mainly cardio for the most part but adding in weights for a bit here and there until my body gets used to it! As far as diet goes, I am doing intermittent fasting along with counting macros and portion control ( I HAD no portion control what so ever before.)

So far I think the biggest challenge has been the working out and drinking a gallon of water every day! But I think well hopefully in a week or two or so my body will be use to it by then and it will be a piece of cake – fingers crossed! I have been upload small videos here and there on tik Tok but decided to put it together and share on YouTube too! I would love for you to subscribe to my YouTube and tik Tok and maybe even instagram? I will share my link below!

New Year Goals!

December 31, 2020

Am I the only one who is having a hard time believing that today is truly the last day of 2020? This year definitely has been an insane type of year! Christmas didn’t even feel like Christmas at all this year… mainly because my husband and I were still in quarantine from his positive covid test! Now that we are about to say goodbye to 2020 I wanted to take this time to share my goals for next year. I am actually going to do a monthly goal for 2021 rather than yearly goal because well I’m going to be honest…I never stick to my yearly goals! Hopefully monthly goals will be better!

January goals:

  • 75 hard – I am so excited to start 75 hard again tomorrow! If you don’t know what 75 hard is, it is a mental toughness program. There are 5 rules you have to follow every single day for 75 days and if you even skip or cheat on one, you start over again from day 1. This is my 3rd attempt at this program. Here are the rules:
    1. Follow a diet – any diet of your choice however, no cheating, no cheat meals and no alcohol!
    2. Work out twice a day for 45 minutes each – one of the workouts has to be outdoors!
    3. Drink a gallon of water a day!
    4. Read 10 pages of nonfiction or self development book.
    5. Take a progress photo every single day!
  • Upload at least 8 blog posts.
  • Get at least 2 people interested in my Monat business!
  • Open an Etsy shop!
  • Spend less money on unnecessary stuff! I love to shop and I just need to stop!

I am going to make 2021 all about ME! I am so bad about putting myself, my health first and I am sick of it…so join me this year in making this year your best year by taking amazing care of yourself!

What is your monthly or yearly goal/resolution for 2021?

Meet my puppy!

May 15, 2020

Meet my precious baby girl Daisy Lou! She is a toy Maltipoo and only weighs 2 pounds as of a week ago. I got her Sunday May 3rd when she was 8 weeks old! I had a boy Maltipoo who sadly passed away last year after he got really sick and he was 9 years old. I always wanted a girl dog to name her Daisy and I’m so glad I finally found her! I’m so in love with Daisy and I cannot wait to see her grow. 🥰

Finally went to the Doctor…

March 5, 2020

About three weeks ago, I did something that I have been wanting to do for so long but kept putting it off for fear of what the results would be. I finally went to the doctor to get blood work done to see if I do or do not have PCOS, which I kept thinking I did because I had all the symptoms for it practically. I did the blood work and sure enough I was officially diagnosed with PCOS, which I was not at all surprised about it; what I was surprised about was the fact that I was also diagnosed with super early stages of pre diabetes and cholesterol. My doctor and I decided that it’s best for me to go on a diet or better yet change my lifestyle to try and get rid of my pre diabetes and cholesterol and hopefully my PCOS too. So now instead of taking medicine to help control it all, I will be changing my eating habits and exercising which exercising I have been good about this year….been doing some sort of cardio every day and strength training at least 2 to 3 times a week. I think my eating habits is what is going to be the hardest thing for me to change but I know I can do it… I have to do it so I can get rid of these craziness and lose weight and hopefully get pregnant naturally instead of doing infertility treatments; which I’m open to doing if I’m still not pregnant by the end of this year because that would have then been 2 years of trying without success. I would love to connect with others who are struggling with the same thing.
