March Overview and April Goals.

Boy it was been a crazy few weeks for everyone around the world with everything going on regarding the COVID 19. First of all I hope you and your family are healthy and well! March was such a busy and exhausting month for me; I know most people are either staying at home, working from home or actually having to go to work right now. I am one of those who is actually still going to work; I’m a nanny so I literally just go from my house to theirs so it is ok right now but it’s been so hard and I feel like only nannies would understand this. Being a nanny is always so tiring but to be home all day with the kiddos and having the parents and in my case grandparents there too can be so hard. Don’t get me wrong I love my job but for some reason kids think that because their parents are there they can act however they want and say what they want. Ive been coming home extremely tired and my anxiety has been so so bad lately so I decided to take next week off to just recharge and rest.

My March goals were to:

  1. Upload 5 blog post which I did – woohoo!
  2. Read 1 book which I did not sadly!
  3. Be more social on social media and interact with fellow bloggers – I have been a little better but not as good as I would like since I got insanely busy too.
  4. Follow a low fat diet… yeah that turns out it didn’t have to be a low fat diet after all when I finally talked to my doctor so I have been back on fasting instead.
  5. Lose 3 to 5 pounds…which I lost 2.4 pounds which isn’t too bad considering how stressful this month has been and I am such a stress and emotional eater (hence why I started a 100 day fasting challenge for myself so I can have some control over my eating and weight too)

So for April, my 5 goals will be some what similar to March:

  1. Upload 7 blog posts!
  2. Read 1 book/audiobook.
  3. Intermittent fast everyday – aim for 16 hours but 14 is ok too!
  4. Drink more water!
  5. Be more social on social media.

What are some of your goals for this month???

March Goals

Boy this year is just flying on by isn’t it? It’s hard to believe it’s already March 1st, but it is and it is time to write my monthly goals for March. But first, let me look back on my February goals; I was able to complete all my goals except for one. I did not lose 6 to 9 pounds like I had hoped to lose but that’s ok!

Here are my monthly goals for March:

  • Upload 5 blog posts.
  • Read 1 book.
  • Be more social on social media and interact with fellow bloggers.
  • Follow a low fat diet.
  • Lose 3 to 5 pounds.

What are your monthly goals for this month?

February Goals.

A month ago I wrote my New Years resolution/goals for 2020 but then found a blog post where she talked about how she no longer makes new year goals but month to month so I decided that starting this month I will be setting new goals maybe even the same goal every single month. I wanted to share my February goals with you today.

  • Post 5 blog posts.
  • Lose at least 6 pounds, preferably 9.
  • Drink more water.
  • Be active everyday even if its a slow walk for 30 minutes…its something!
  • Read 1 full book or listen to 1 audio book.

Curious…do you do month to month goals?

2020 Goals!

Happy January 1st everyone! I cannot believe yesterday was the end of 2019…this year went by so fast. It is now time to set new goals for this year and hopefully stick to. I decided I didn’t want to make too many goals this year I just wanted to make 3 main goals that I want to really focus on this year and those are:

  • To get healthy and lose weight….I did so well last year but then I fell off the wagon and gained all the weight back that I had lost and I want to try to be better this time around.
  • Get my hormones checked out and try to regulate them. I need to make this a priority and actually go to the doctor and figure out what’s going on with my body so I can start focusing more on trying to get pregnant.
  • Be more productive. I can get so lazy and procrastinate a lot and I want to really work on getting stuff done before relaxing.

What are your goals?

One Month of Intermittent Fasting…

2019-02-16 18.35.33

I started Intermittent fasting the evening of January 13th and it’s already been a month. I wanted to share how my first month of fasting went and what I have lost and learned.

My starting weight was 281.5 and today I am 278, which means I have lost 3.5 pounds in the last month. I also got off my birth control pill the same day I started fasting so I don’t know if maybe since my body is going through changes if its affecting the fasting too but we shall see. I am not planning on stopping fasting in a matter of fact I want to do this for as Long as I can. To be honest I’m also not so consistent with my hours. Theres days where I fast for 14 hours and days where I fast 16 and heck there’s days where I only last 12, 13 or 15 hours…it all depends. So maybe that’s why I’m also not losing as much weight as people tend to say they’re losing…who know.

(I am using the app called LIFE to monitor my hours of fasting)

One thing I have noticed is how less bloated I am and “lighter” I feel though which is amazing. I do get super bloated when I eat something heavy now though. The one thing I don’t like about fasting if how constipated I get from it…its annoying! But other than that it’s been amazing! I just need to be more consistent with my hours and maybe try to eat less during my eating window.

I’ll update again soon.

End of month Resolution Update!

I cannot believe today is already February 1st, how is that even possible??? Time is just flying by now…

Now that it’s a new month I wanted to share of how I’m doing on my new year resolutions.

  • One of my resolutions was to get healthier and exercise and I’m proud to say that I’ve been doing both. I mean I could be doing better but I am doing good. I’m doing intermittent fasting, exercising, and drinking more water.
  • As far as my OCD I’m also doing better, I try not to go to crazy on double or triple checking everything. Slowly but surely…
  • Honestly out of the 12 (I think) resolutions I made, those first two are really the only ones I have so far worked more so on. I’m trying to get better at the other things which were to read more books, be more confident/positive, cook more, practice photography, be more social and save money.

Hoping when I do an end of February resolution update, I’ll have more to list… fingers crossed!

How are you doing with your New Years resolutions???

2019 Goals!

“Make new year’s goals. The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals.” – Warren McLaren

Happy New Year!!! I cannot believe that 2018 is over; it went by so so so quick. 2018 was an ok year for me, it wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst either; however, I am hoping to make 2019 my best year yet!

Every year I make new year resolutions and I never ever stick to it; well this year I really want to make goals rather than resolutions and I am going to try my hardest to stick to it and reach my goals.

Here are some of my goals for 2019:

  • Live a healthier lifestyle by drinking more water, exercising at least 3 to 4 times a week, and eating healthier.
  • Try to control and get rid of my OCD as much as possible; my OCD has gotten so bad in the last year with making sure everything is locked and that my alarms are on, etc. It is really really affecting me and I want to change it once and for all.m
  • Care less about what people think. I am so sensitive, emotional and such a people pleaser and I hate it…
  • Read at least one book a month, I have so many books that I have bought and haven’t read yet so my goal is to read more and hopefully blog about it.
  • Stop Procrastinating.
  • Practice photography and become more comfortable with manual setting rather than automatic.
  • Become more confident.
  • Be more positive.
  • Save more money and to stop spending on stuff that we don’t really need.
  • Cook and bake more (especially healthy options) and share here on the blog.
  • Be more in the moment especially with my husband; for example, putting our phones away at least for an hour or so and spending quality time together.
  • Be more active on social media and blogging by commenting on other’s posts and interacting with others more.

What are some of your goals for 2019???
