For as long as I can remember I never really had a morning routine set in place. I would always just wake up about 20 minutes before I had to leave the house, which gave me enough time to get ready and head out the door to go to work. However, I love to watch peoples morning routines and I always dreamed of having my own, so therefore I created my own very recently, I am talking about like less than a month and I only tend to do these routines on the weekdays but will start implementing it daily soon!
9:00 AM – wake up
Because I am a stay at home wife now, I tend to sleep in till about 9 sometimes 9:30 mainly because I go to sleep around midnight sometimes after midnight and tend to wake up a lot during the night so I don’t feel guilty about sleeping in; however I do want to change my sleeping habits as I would love to wake up earlier.
9:30 – Puppy play time
I take my dog out to go potty outside and my sister in law who lives in the back house in the same property will than bring out her puppies for some puppy play time and I will sit outside with them and enjoy my morning cup of coffee.
10:15 – miracle morning habits
I will start off by meditating for 5 minutes, I am very new to meditating so 5 minutes is good for me for now. I will then take about 15 minutes or so to read the Bible. After reading the Bible, I like to grab my iPad which is what I use to do my daily planner on and I will write down my affirmations for the day, my gratitude along with what I have to accomplish for the day. While I am working on my to do list, I usually will have a protein bar of some sort, I usually am not too hungry so a protein bar holds me over till I am done with my workout.
11 – lets get movin!
If you saw my last post, I gave up on trying to do the 75 hard challenge because its way too strict and it was too hard, however, I do incorporate it, meaning I will try to do two workouts daily, one being a longer one about 45 minutes or more and the 2nd one it can be as short as 20 minutes or as long as I want. In the morning I like to do my long workout and walk on the treadmill. While I am walking on a treadmill I will read my non fiction book (which is one of the tasks for 75 hard that I still do)
12 pm – Starving!
After my workout is when I am starving so this is when I will have my “brunch” I guess you can call it and I will then get on with my day trying to cross off everything that was on my to-do list!
What is some things you have to do in your morning routine?
