If you know me then you know how much I love my coffee, so I’m so sad that I have to give it up for a while…at least a few days. Well I don’t have too but my anxiety has been through the roof the past 2 weeks and I honestly think its because my coffee intake has increased a ton. I was drinking at least 2 to sometimes 3 cups of coffee a day and I even had green tea extract pills in my vitamin pack that I was taking so it was a lot. I have officially as of today stopped taking the vitamins all together including the green tea extract pills along with coffee. I am drinking tea and ice tea which has some caffeine in it but that’s ok. Other than a major headache which I currently have right now, I have been feeling great…no signs of anxiety today which is awesome. I miss coffee so bad if I’m being honest. I just love everything about coffee and I might even prefer it over tea, which is the number 1 thing I was obsessed with growing up and most of my adult life pretty much.

Fingers crossed this little break from coffee and the pills helps get rid of my anxiety again for a long time then I will slowly introduce coffee and multivitamin pills only (not green tea extract) into my daily life and take it from there…..but for now, if you drink coffee please enjoy some for me too!

  1. I relate to this on so many levels. I only drink one cup a day, but a HUGE one and my anxiety has been really bad for the past few days I think I may try to give up coffee for a while…needless to say this article motivated me to do so.

  2. I drink a lot of Pepsi and Coke and was told caffeine makes anxiety worse. So I try to limit how much I have. Easier said than done. I hope your caffeine detox helps your anxiety x
