Pausing my 100 day challenge…

I have decided that I am just going to pause my 100 day fasting challenge for now. It’s such a stressful time right now and with me being extra extra busy at work I don’t get a chance to eat as I should do when I finally come home, I find myself stuffing my face with a ton of food and stuff before I start my fast for the night. I have been getting a ton of headaches too so not sure if it’s because I’m eating very little then a lot within an hour window that’s causing this or no. But for now while we are all dealing with this stressful stressful times and everything that’s going on in the world I will just stop and then continue when I feel ready and not so stressed.

Curious, how are you guys dealing with all this and trying to still lose or maintain your weight? Are you exercising? Dieting?

25 Days of Fasting Update

IMG_5227

On March 15th, well technically the 14th I started a challenge for myself to do intermittent fasting everyday for 100 days. My goal was to aim for 16 hours but I knew there would be days that I would do 14 hours and that was ok..at least I was still fasting. I wanted to do this not only to try and lose weight but for self control. I am such a snacker and if I’m not fasting I snack a ton and don’t have the self control to stop sadly so fasting helps me a lot. I had lost a few pounds when I weighed myself on day 14 but when I weighed myself yesterday on day 25, I sadly had gained it all back…why? Because I decided to take this week off from work and rest and well I have been having a bunch of junk and soda…which I know so bad ugh! I also have been so bad about my water intake and exercising since I have been home, actually I have been bad about exercising since this whole coronavirus started. I still take walks with the kids at work but other than that I wouldn’t do anything else. I joined another fasting challenge on Facebook yesterday for 30 days where we fast, drink a gallon of water and do some sort of exercise for 20 minutes. The past 2 days I have fasted over 17 hours, drank a gallon of water and exercised for 30 minutes. So lets hope when I weigh myself again on Sunday I am down a pound – fingers crossed!

How are you doing with your eating and exercising during all this?

March Overview and April Goals.

Boy it was been a crazy few weeks for everyone around the world with everything going on regarding the COVID 19. First of all I hope you and your family are healthy and well! March was such a busy and exhausting month for me; I know most people are either staying at home, working from home or actually having to go to work right now. I am one of those who is actually still going to work; I’m a nanny so I literally just go from my house to theirs so it is ok right now but it’s been so hard and I feel like only nannies would understand this. Being a nanny is always so tiring but to be home all day with the kiddos and having the parents and in my case grandparents there too can be so hard. Don’t get me wrong I love my job but for some reason kids think that because their parents are there they can act however they want and say what they want. Ive been coming home extremely tired and my anxiety has been so so bad lately so I decided to take next week off to just recharge and rest.

My March goals were to:

  1. Upload 5 blog post which I did – woohoo!
  2. Read 1 book which I did not sadly!
  3. Be more social on social media and interact with fellow bloggers – I have been a little better but not as good as I would like since I got insanely busy too.
  4. Follow a low fat diet… yeah that turns out it didn’t have to be a low fat diet after all when I finally talked to my doctor so I have been back on fasting instead.
  5. Lose 3 to 5 pounds…which I lost 2.4 pounds which isn’t too bad considering how stressful this month has been and I am such a stress and emotional eater (hence why I started a 100 day fasting challenge for myself so I can have some control over my eating and weight too)

So for April, my 5 goals will be some what similar to March:

  1. Upload 7 blog posts!
  2. Read 1 book/audiobook.
  3. Intermittent fast everyday – aim for 16 hours but 14 is ok too!
  4. Drink more water!
  5. Be more social on social media.

What are some of your goals for this month???

100 day Fasting

With everything going on I knew that I wouldn’t eat as healthy or as good as I would like so I decided to get back into intermittent fasting. I challenged myself to do a 100 day fasting challenge and to aim for 16/8. Today is day 11 and so far I’ve done good, there’s only been 2 days where I didn’t reach 16 hours and that is really ok. I did notice that 2 days that I didn’t reach 16 hours was because I ate past 7 pm the night before. For example last night my brothers girlfriend bought her new puppy to our house so I was distracted and played with the puppy for a while and by the time I got to eat it was closer to 7/7:30 so I didn’t finish eating till 8 pm so for it to be 16 hours I had to fast till noon today and that’s hard for me since I’m awake and working so early. I woke up this morning and was starving so bad so I waited it out for a bit took a shower and I was still hungry even after drinking water so I gave it and had breakfast so I only fasted for about 11.5 hours and really that’s ok! I’ll try better today by trying to finish eating by 6:30 or 7pm the latest tonight. I’m going to share my results here! I’m hoping this helps me shed a few pounds since I’m such a bad stress eater and like everyone else right now I’m under a lot of stress with what’s going on in the world. As far as exercise goes I’ve been trying to go on 2 long walks with my nanny kids a day and if we can’t then I have an elliptical at home that I’ll end up using after I’m off for about half an hour to an hour.

How are you handling the stress? Are you still keeping up with healthy eating and exercising?

Day 13 & 17: Habits

First and for most, boy I missed a few days and I’m kinda upset with myself but its been a crazy busy week so it’s ok…we can’t all be perfect at these challenges I guess. I’m going to skip the ones I missed except for dat 13 since that one kinda goes with todays. Day 13 was a bad habit of mine that I wish I didn’t have and todays is 3 healthy habits that I am working on.

Let’s start off with the bad one; I think we all have one bad habit that we wish we can change but it can be hard to do so. A habit of mine that I would love to get rid of is the fact that I overthink about everything and it’s always in a negative way. I absolutely hate it; it destroys me and causes me so much anxiety. I really need to find a way to change it… anyone else who overthinks and is so negative? Were you able to find a solution on how to help you overcome this habit? Please let me know.

The 3 healthy habits that I am currently working on, well I have stopped but I need to get back on it were:

  • Drinking a lot more water!!!
  • Exercising on a weekly basis.
  • Doing intermittent fasting.

I was so good about introducing these 3 habits into my everyday life for a while then I kinda just stopped since we got back from our Costa Rica trip. I have gained pretty much all the weight that I lost this year back in a few months…its awful so I need to get myself back onto it!
