
I don’t know about you, but I am really bad about taking care of myself. I’m a nanny and a wife and I tend to care for others constantly and never really put myself first. I want to work on that, work on self care more often; therefore, I decided that I would love to do a self care Sunday blog post to share what I’m adding to my self care on a weekly basis. For this blog post, I will be focusing on hydrating. I know I need to drink about half my weight in oz of water and I well I suck at doing that. I am better about drinking more water than I use too, however, I still need to be drinking more.
About 60% of our bodies are made up of water and so I want to share 10 benefits of drinking water with you:
- Gives you more energy.
- Helps you sleep better.
- Clears up skin.
- Aids in weight loss.
- Flushes body waste.
- Improves brain function.
- Fewer headaches.
- Helps digestion.
- Fights bloating.
- Maintains the balance of body fluids.
I will be challenging myself to drink AT LEAST a gallon of water a day but will try to aim for at least 145 oz of water. I would love for some of you to join me in drinking a gallon of water for a week and hopefully keep it going after that as well.
